Pods NYC (“Pods,” “we,” “our,” “us”) respects your privacy. This Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect information when you use our website and coworking service (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to this Policy.

- Basic Info: first name, email address, age, gender, profession bucket.
- Account & Membership: subscription status, preferences, availability.
- Session Data: pod session assignments, attendance, ratings/reviews, “work-with-again” selections.
- Technical Data: IP address, device/browser info, and standard server logs.
We do not require or share sensitive personal identifiers (e.g., phone number, home address, government IDs) to other members. You may voluntarily share such info with others at your discretion.
2. How We Use Information
- To operate and improve the Service, including matching members into pods and assigning venues.
- To communicate about sessions, updates, support, and membership.
- To maintain safety and quality (e.g., community moderation; removal of bad actors).
- To analyze aggregated or de-identified data for product improvements.
3. How We Share Information
We do not sell or rent your personal data.
- With Other Members: first names only are visible to fellow pod participants for a given session.
- Service Providers: trusted vendors (e.g., payment processing, hosting, analytics) under contract to process data on our behalf.
- Legal/Compliance: to comply with applicable law, lawful requests, or to protect rights, safety, and security.
4. Cookies & Similar Technologies
We may use necessary cookies to run the site and optional analytics to understand usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling certain cookies may impact functionality.
5. Data Retention
- We keep personal data while your account is active.
- Upon account cancellation, we delete personal data within 90 days, except where the law requires longer retention.
- Reviews/ratings may be retained in aggregated or de-identified form for service improvement.
